‘Ōlelo Hawai‘i Initiative
The purpose of the ‘Ōlelo Hawai‘i Initiative is to provide an opportunity and space for UHM students, faculty, staff, and community members to learn and speak the Hawaiian language at a centralized location on the Mānoa Campus. On Dec 11, 2019, ASUH unanimously passed Senate Act 20-20 to appropriate funding for this initiative. On May 6, 2020, ASUH passed Senate Act 40-20 to continue the initiative until Spring 2021
